Abstract

The aim of the research was to investigate the effectiveness of electronic tests in equipping students with skills in designing interactive digital educational content. To achieve this, an experimental approach was used. structured electronic tests supported by feedback (corrective and explanatory) were designed, along with three performance tests corrected with note cards. These tools were applied to a sample of 54 students enrolled in a diploma program in educational qualification. They were randomly divided into two equal groups: an experimental group and a control group. This took place between 2023 and 2024 at the Faculty of Education at the University of Damascus. The research concluded the effectiveness of structured electronic tests supported by feedback (corrective and explanatory) in enhancing students' skills and their effectiveness in students' retention of learning. There were statistically significant differences between the average scores of individuals in the control and experimental groups in the post-application of performance tests in favor of the experimental group. There were also statistically significant differences between the average scores of individuals in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test applications of performance tests, favoring the post-test application. However, there was no statistically significant difference in their scores between the post-test and delayed test applications. Based on these results, a set of suggestions were put forward regarding the application of structured electronic tests to university students and conducting studies on measuring the impact of structured electronic tests on academic achievement in other educational stages.

    I am Dr. Ghina, holder of a PhD in Educational Technology from the Faculty of Education - Damascus University, with honors for the year 2021, and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from the Faculty of Education - Damascus University, with honors.

    A lecturer at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University, a lecturer at the Syrian Virtual University, in the Educational Qualification Diploma Program, a faculty member at the Faculty of Humanities at Mid-Ocean University, and a practical education supervisor at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University. I have also supervised several graduation projects at the Syrian Virtual University. I have participated in several Arab and international scientific conferences and seminars, and I have several scientific research papers published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
